Ladies, and Gentlemen,
plus anyone else that plays canoe polo or has an interest in canoeing, or is interested in winning money,
or aiding good causes.
The Irish National Canoe Polo Association are looking to raise some funds for new kit, both for the development of the sport,
and for the purposes of sending our national teams (men, women, under 21 men and under 21 women) to the European Championships
in France this Deptember.
We, the National Canoe Polo Committee, are going to run a "Last Person Standing" competition over the coming months.
Basically you pick a team from the English Premiership every week that you think is going to win.
If your team doesn't win you lose one of your two lives. The tricky part is you have to pick a different team each week.
If you like the idea, then sign up to take part, if you don't like the idea, noone will hold it against you, but if
you really like the idea, try to get other colleagues, family and friends to enter the competition too.
It is not too often that we are asked to put any effort into to our beloved sport beyond partaking in the competitions
and leagues which are organised by people who also love the sport. So lets try and make a big effort to get people involved.
The first round will start on the 3nd of February.
Cheers
Darren
Rules and Regulations
=====================
Simply pick a different team to win each week from the English Premiership, last person standing wins!
* You must register the team of your choice before 5pm on the Friday before the match (For Week 1 this is 5pm on 2nd February), otherwise the next highest team in the league you have not already chosen by you, will be your pick.
* You must pick a different team every week for the duration of the competition i.e. you cannot select a team twice (Premiership fixtures only), until all 20 teams have been selected.
* Each person gets two lives. If your team fails to win you lose a life, (i.e draws or losses). If your team's game is called off, you will automatically be given the highest placed team in the league that you have not picked before.
If your team wins - you are through to the next round unscathed.
* The last person standing will take the money/share the prize fund.
* Fee is a once off €10 per entry. There is no limit to the number of times an individual can enter at the outset.
* Results will be available every Monday morning.
* All money raised will be split between the prize money and the National Canoe Polo Association.
* Committee's decision is final in all instances.
You should contact the seller each week to submit your selection. If you are unable to contact your seller,
you can call Darren Redmond on 087 9806683 / Adrian Barber on 087 2059043. Alternatively, you can email
