I reckon you're going to get a lot of different answers to this- might start a "which boat is better" squabble- most people think their own is best. I don't think there's one right answer, and there are a few other parametersbeyond size to consider. The fact there are a relatively large number of boats out there (compared to the number of polo players) indicates that there is no single perfect boat (even within a small player size range). Ask if you can have a go of every different boat you come across and see what suits.
I am a little bigger than you and paddle a Vampire 2006s. I went for full kevlar 'cos its tougher than carbon and only a little heavier. Another guy I know has a carbon kevlar less than 1 yr old and has suffered a couple of moderate dings- but this might be as much about playing style and the competition as the laminate. I have been really happy with the boat- it's quick. people say its not the most stable boat around, but I have found it fine- it almost rolls itself anyway if you end up sitting on the wrong side. the only down side is the "dug-out" tail seems to sink a bit when accelerating/at high speed and there's a little tendency to fish-tail. Its not a big issue though, it doesn't seem to slow you down. If I were more handy-man inclined I might try the seat a couple of cm further forward. You can guess what my advice would be- try one, you'll like it.

as batboy said there is a huge range of options.
my sujestion would be to try as many as possible, most people are generaly happy to let you try their boats as long as its not a bad time like 5 mins before a game!!!:thumbdown
personaly i would be tempted to look at a combat 65, especialy at you are looking for speed from what i can tell. i found this to be the quickest option around, although i have never paddled a vampire and no litrtle about them.

my sujestion just try as much as possible and go with what you like.

Get a Flight!! ur light and a flight is for light people! I paddled one and I liked it better than the 2006 S Vamp. but not as good as my 2001 S Vamp. If I had to use another boat it would be the flight for sure.
