Did anyone see the article about canoe polo in one of the Melbourne newspapers i dont know which one. My English teacher found it and gave it to me. It's got some great quotes from Matt. "water polo in kayaks", "It's a lot of quick, explosive work". lol. Good to see polo gettin' some coverage.

Firstly i agree with simon that it is great to see polo get some media coverage. Good work Matty
I would like to ask the question though, if melbourn has the strongest local competition in aus why is there not a bigger victorian representation at summer series competitions and at interstates. perhaps the focus for the development in melbourne needs to shift from recruitment to higher level development.
i would also like to remind all teams intending on entering the summer series this year the the first comp is in less than two weeks and not very many nominations have been recieved. for the summer series to continue nominations need to be emailed back to Chris ASAP.
Cheers

Sydeny summer series will be held at Lake parramatta on the first weekend in December - 3rd and 4th. Teams from across the world are invited to take part:)
Stay tuned to group emails for further details in the near future. Although as a secondary teacher I do support the notion of a well rounded education...screw the exams:D

'perhaps the focus for the development in melbourne needs to shift from recruitment to higher level development.'
We like our players to continue playing Polo for longer than the average burn out age of 15 y/o.
There are a majority of players in Melbourne who are quite happy playing locally and causing headaches for the players coming through the ranks. So even though there are 100's of players here, the reality is that most don't want to continue through the grades and play for State or Country.
