Mad,
What's the craic?
What do you think the chances are of two Irish guys joining in? I'm going to ask the usual stupid question how near is Newcastle to Sydney? Will I make it back for work on Monday morning after the celebrations? :)

hey there. Newcastle is about 160km from Sydney...a mere 2 hour doddle. There are some folks comming from Sydney canoe polo so you should be able to muster a lift if you like.

As for the hangover, I cannot be held responsible, but the blue tongue ginger beer brewed at Queen's wharf is quite refreshing and a little alcoholic.

Hope to see you there.

Thank yo so much for all those who made the trip to Newcastle today. As far as I know, everyone had fun.

Numbers were a bit lower this year than in previous years. We wnt to make a better competition, which more people can attend.

Anyone out there got any suggestions as to how we can make the trip more worthwhile? How can we have more people? Do the higher petrol prices effect the decision to travel?

Just looking for ways to improve. Cheers, Mad.:wavey:

Very sorry to have missed the beers, blokes and polo this year in Newcastle. Had to endure the above in Port Douglas instead. Perhaps the middle weekend of the school holidays was an impediment this year for those who went else where; it was for me.

A posting on the NSW website would also assist in promotion as well as AC website/calander.
Will drink the beer and hold up the bar with paddle in hand next year.
