View Full Version : canoepolo email address
From the quick poll on the homepage: sorry if there is a thread somewhere else on this, I couldn't find it if there was....
Is this actually in the pipeline or is interest just being investigated?
I'm one of the few people who voted "no". As much as I would like an address that shows off my connection to the sport I think if this site becomes a source for e-mail it will be blocked when I'm in work, the only place I really access it from... :(
Eh?
Why was this moved to help, suggestions and feedback?
I'm not looking for help, not making a suggestion and it's not feedback as nothing's been done to give feedback on....
It should potentially be put in polls but since the poll isn't actually attached to this thread that's a tad wrong aswell.
You may as well delete it if you're going to stick it down here where no-one will put up their thoughts on the email thing.....

We're just looking into it for now and seeing what interest there may be in it for the future.
It was moved here as this is where questions regarding the website should be posted. :)

You are asking about possible services through this website.. that should pass for help related questions.
And you are giving feedback on the quick poll on the frontpage..
If we would put everything in general polo, there wouldn't be much use for the other subfora, now would there..
And I don't see any reason why people wouldn't be able to post their thoughts here.
Back to the subject..
What exactly gets blocked at your office? It can't possibly be that every website that offers email functionality is blocked.
I actually posted to see other people's thoughts on the email idea, the poll is not linked to a thread where people can give their reasons for and against.
Asking if it was in the pipeline was not the main point of my post as I saw it. The fact you put up a poll implies it is in the pipeling so the question was essentially rethorical as it was answered before I asked it...
The moderators might read these sections daily but most people who log in don't. They check their country and the general sections.
And yes, I work in an office that doesn't like the idea of Viruses. They can scan our work mail address, can't scan other mail address so they just block all sites which offer an email service!

I think that lots of people use the new posts (todays posts) page and all new posts also show up on the frontpage.. But of course I can be wrong..
Anyways.. Sounds like me that you only have access to half the internet then.. are sites like yahoo.com, aol.com and msn.com blocked as well?
Never heard of any company policy that strict..
