Dear canoe polo friends. At the coming ICF congress the position for chairperson canoe polo committee is up for election. After a period of 15 years as member and chairman of the committee I will not run for re-election. Also the committee members Jon Bisset and Carmel Vekins shall not be available for a new 4 years term.
Candidates for the position of chairman who is also a member of the ICF board of directors and candidates for the committee (4 persons, at least one woman) should be nominated by their National Federation before October 13th 2006.
The position of Chairman will be elected by the ICF congress. The committee members shall be appointed by the ICF Board.
Jon, Carmel and myself leave the committee with a very pleasant feeling of having had a time to contribute to our canoe polo sport. We will all stay involved in canoe polo at (inter)national level as it is a wonderful part of our live.
