Well, Iīve also got a Lettmann paddle for sale. Itīs been perfectly repaired on both sides, like Asgar describes it in the other entry.
Iīd also like half the new price for it 175 Euros. Please just contact me if youīre interested, and Iīll bring it to a competition so that you can have a look at it.

Sorry, you got it wrong. My paddle wasnīt broken, it just had a little crack on the front, the upper layer began to get loose, thatīs why I had to put a little bit onto it.
I guess the best way to fix a paddle would be to repair it in itīs original form that it was made in. If you donīt have one, you should probably make yourself one, but Iīm not an expert.
My paddle was repaired at Lettmann.

Hi,

Best thing is to get a new shaft and put your old blades on that. However, if you're short in cash and need a paddle soon you could use what I did last year (emergency gear fix that lasted for
about a year now): get yourself a piece of aluminium tube (not steel, that weighs too much) of about 5 - 6 centimeters longer than the cracked area. So if the shaft as split in two, get a piece of about 5-6cm. If the crack is also length wise, the tube should be longer. Use a piece of tube which fits barely into the shaft
(outer diameter of tube = inner diameter of shaft) and glue it in, using epoxy glue , preferably the version that takes longer to set.

Use a piece of tape to cover the glue when it is applied so the glue will set nice and smoothly and you don't tear open your hand ;-)

HTH,

Michiel
