I was just wondering which players have been to 4 or more World Championships ?

Please only respond to this if you know the facts and you are going to mention someone other than yourself.

This not for people to blow their own trumpet but for everyone else who may just be interested to know, so don't be shy !

Surely there are a lot more players out who have played at 4 or more World Champs, particularly outside Europe (I know there are some).

Come on.....

I think the fact that it was suggested that people don't reply for themselves will restrict answers to this (or lead to inaccurate replies as seen above) - not everyone knows their teammates history but we all know our own...

Vincent Pierce, No. 4 IRL - all worlds bar Brazil when Ireland didn't travel.

Obviously some confusion.
People ARE encouraged to list themselves since they actually know for sure what they did !

It's commenting about other people may be the in-acurate part.

Ireland did not attend worlds in Australia in 96 and Brazil in 2000. Vinny did not play in 1994 either.

Oh right, well I know he was in Sheffield, thought he played - Vin should know anyway.

(Lots of inaccuracies so)

They maybe the only ones to have played at all the Worlds, but Dale & Darryl O'brien have participated at all of them in some capacity ... Playing, Reffing, Coaching ... and in 2008 Organizing!!!!:D

I believe from the USA we have one player, Rob Logan - 06, 04, 02, 00 and he's still one of our younger players. Now that's messed up.

By young players tho you mean in their mid thirties right? :)
It was great to see that there are some younger players coming up through the ranks in the States with the U21 team travelling to the worlds.

Anton,

I said "younger" not "young".

Mid thirties is, sadly, young for USA polo.:D

Yes, it was good to have the truly "young" U21s at the Worlds and many of us hope they all take their future polo prospects seriously because they, and others like them, are the only real future of polo in states.:usa:

I couldn't agree more there.
I think that they will continue to want to travel to the worlds, especially the next being in Canada, but more importantly they all looked like they really enjoyed them selves on tour.

Anton are you one of the leading faces in canoe polo as you seem to voice your opinion on many topics on this web site and have you played polo for a long time as you sound like you have.
