Referee's project:
Aim: to create a resource that can be used to train referees. The resource will be in the form of a powerpoint presentation which will include text, graphics and video.
Currently, there are not many freely available resources that people who want to train referees can use. This makes setting up courses difficult and can lead to different interpretations and standards in different places. What I want to do is to create a resource that can be widely distributed and used for training all over the States (and the world).
I want some help to put this together. I would like anyone who is interested to put together a presentation (one to two slides worth) for one or more of the game rules.
I will provide a template powerpoint slide so that they all end up looking like they're from the same presentation. I can also provide simple graphics for boats, etc if you want to do some pictures to provide some consistency.
I have video from the worlds which will be inserted as appropriate.
Email me if you would like to be a part of creating this resource and if you have a preference for any of the rules that you'd like to explain.
I would like to get an initial display done for a California December 14 training, so that means I will need the slides back to me by December 9 to have time to collate them. We can get feedback from the participants at that time and make improvements so that it can go out in final form in January.
Feel free to forward this request to other people in your clubs.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Cheers,
Katherine.
