After finding out basically that nobody knows anything about canoe polo being played in Moldava, let alone that there is actually a canoe polo team, lo and behold, another suprise is in the offering. :D

We have now a request from the National Olympic Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic for their canoe polo team to come and play in our tournament.

So once again, my fellow forum members, I ask the question with a slightly different twist ' does anybody know of canoe polo being played in the Kyrgyz Republic, and if so what teams exist?

Fellas, there's no need to rush with all of your replies (sic) because in any case, for this year they will not be able to come as our registration has been closed for a long time now.

I am just curious to read your comments on the subject!

An afterthought: both the emails sent to me were from an address which finished @something.ru. It seems odd that nothwithstanding the two countries (Moldava & Kyrgyz Republic) are very far apart, the two sendees had the same origin.
Also one ponders, it seems that the canoe polo playing skills of these two teams are basically unknown to the rest of the canoe polo world at large. My message was seen by many forum members around the world, but no clear information was obtained.
Also another similarity is that the atletes of both countries have to obtain visas vouched for by the Italian Olympic Committee and by the tournament organisers (in this case, by myself). Basically, we would have to guarantee these teams stay in Italy and then it would be our responsability that all the team members returned home again.
At this point, discarding any further intest of knowing if these teams really exist or if the game is really practised in their respective countries, have you any knowledge of any other organiser been asked to 'sponsor' teams from such countries to come and play in tournaments, and if so, what were the consequences of such outcomes.
Thanks!
