Hi guys,
Heard this was going ahead in Durban on the 8th & 9th July. Clive & I are coming back to compete, can't wait to see you all!
Just thought it might be good if the organisers added the details to the canoepolo.com calender?
Cheers

You mean you men still haven't learnt how to multi-task??? You don't have your revision notes posted on the front of your boat, with a PDA with internet connection mounted on your cockpit so you can post on canoepolo.com in between intervals? C'mon, catch up with the pace of modern life ;)
See you all in a couple of weeks! You'd better bring out some sunshine for us

Glad to see I am not the only non South African posting in the SA forum... :wavey:
be careful by the way... last time I did that, I ended up being the last one to have posted for several weeks... and had to listen to "but not even the South Africans post in the SA forum!" all the time...
And Big H, if you like I can start collecting those fish that are floating about the canal every now and then... for your BBQ...
Laurel

Hey now, that's enough of ripping off the Saffies! Don't you know they're from 3rd World Africa and don't have electricity, let alone computers and internet access :D
And Tim, I like to think you wouldn't feed those fish to your worst enemies, let alone your friend's friends!

Of course "I" wouldn't! but you never know with those Kiwi's... ;) and let's face it... do they stand a chance of winning anything without employing such methods? :p
And Laurel? I know, I could actually imagine you strapping your ever present PDA to the front of your boat... if only they built them waterresistant ey? You are such a geek! :D
Laurel you trader....
Laurel, what are you selling? ;)

Oh dear, when even an uber-geek calls me a geek in a public forum I know I have no chance of redemption...

Nooooooooooo, we need sunshine!!!! I'm relying on you to negotiate with the weather gods and bring some great weather to Durbs for the African Champs next weekend. Beach, bikinis, sunshine....
However, I'll pack all the warm paddling kit I needed to get me through a UK winter just in case you fail :)

But she says she is prude too... :) And from our "on the way to club champs"-conversation it follows that she is at least in one respect...
PS: Laurel, you know you will now have to introduce Poppy to the whole SA team... :)

But he got one! It's just hidden... :)

Poppy in a water though... Alps 2005... sadly I wasn't present... got the pic though... I am sure that will cut it... :)
But if I posted it here, I think I would go for a little swim in the canal... :thumbdown unless I can work out Sady's "breath while you are upside down and someones boat is sitting on yours by leaning really far forward"-method (which he still has to demonstrate)...

Yay! Sunny and hot in the UK at the moment, wouldn't want to leave the sunshine to come home to poor weather :)
Yep, durbs has been quite cool lately! (as in cold). But its starting to warm up, but the sea is an awesome temp, the last 4 surfs i have had, i havent even used a rashvest, its super warm...for winter...awesome! Looking forward to seeing you guys next week! The SA Side will be full! The Guys team had a training camp in Joburg and wow it was cold, ithe water was in single didgits...how do you do it over there...dont your hands go numb and freeze off?

Hmmmm, close! I didn't do so much ball work over winter, did more fitness & boat skills. What worked best for me was to wear poges/pogies (will explain what these are when I get back) to do a warm-up, then do ball work 'til I couldn't feel my fingers, then do some fitness (poges back on to warm up fingers), then a little ballwork and so on. Playing games was the worst, fingers get so cold so quickly, and of course always the risk of getting pushed... or even just tip yourself over :D The worst though was getting in a hot shower after training when everything starts to BURN ouch.
Thank goodness our winter league is all indoors :)

Funnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Vicki: you going down next winter girl :) Anyway, at least I keep you lot all entertained!
p.s. 32 degrees in London today, and due to get hotter this week.... I'm guessing SA isn't going to quite match these temps :( Could do with a good old SA swimming pool at the moment!
