hi all i'll be going down to amsterdam in august for the world champs. any recommendation or tourist sights that I MUST visit there?

and the amsterdam arena, is it free to enter during weekdays? and is the dutch league on in august? how much is it for a ticket to watch a home game of the ajax amsterdam?

I don't think dutch competition has starts in early august. A very good alternative however is the Amsterdam Tournament(4-5 august), which is an international competition that includes Ajax, FC Porto, Internationale and Manchester United.
