Guys:
Does anybody know any shipping company which can ship a canoe polo boat from UK to the USA?
Thanks,
Alex

Hi,

Whatever you: Do not use TNT! I've had lots of problems
with gear sent via TNT. So far they've ruined a very nice
Carbon Kevlar Mega Raptor and several shafts (the shafts
were still long enough to use and I managed to get the
boat repaired but nonetheless, it is very annoying to see
brandnew gear badly damaged by them).

I once got a boat sent to me via another company. I'll
see that I can find out which one that was.

Clyde: would you happen to know with which company your team mate from Dragon (Howie I think it was)sent me that
Matador?

Cheers,

Michiel

I think it was TNT, but I know Mega sent another Boat using TNT to Hywel in Wales and that got folded !

Mind you I also took a brand new boat to the Aussie Worlds in Adelaid and that got folded - Singapore Airlines.

As a tip here - only for Airlines though.
Any payout they make in your favour you have to fight for tooth and nail. They / you, the passenger is protected by the "Warsar Convention" which is noted on your airline tickets. Any compensation will be paid on a per/kg basis, so it wont help to say your new super light weight polo boat got crushed. I personally always put stuff in my boat when I travel anyway, so it's quite heavy anyway, but if there is a claim, this will work in your favour - a lot ! Same goes for a paddle, which on their own might be just over 1Kg, so put stuff in the paddle bag too - to protect them of course !

I have made 2 successful claims against airlines, but it takes time.
