OK folks last night I attended the top top top secret training of the Hawkes Bay Mens team who were playing the HB women in a friendly. I took pages and pages of detailed notes and secret camera footage.

Given a change in my circumstances I am now prepared to sell this material to the highest bidder.

WARNING: This may not be the Holy Grail as me and my spy partner were asked to leave the pool after a 10 min game because the coach found it inappropriate that we were there. Maybe he was scared my partner in crime who has played polo for over 18 years at international and european level might learn something new from him.........

Even better I love the fact that the Hurricanes are so ambitious, surprised that they won't share their knowledge with the Hurrikets??? Maybe the women are too advanced and woudn't value it.

I am sure that in Germany and most other countries and NZ, players from other teams are not that welcome at training sessions whether you are the top team or the bottom team in the league.
We in HB are have the top teams in the country at lower levels but these players all go off to the big cities to continue their polo, good on them,so we keep trying, and with our one great play we dont need players fom other teams sitting in on our training sessions.

By the way Libby it was'nt a top secret session it was to help the women out by giving them some tougher games which is what you got both nights.

Totally agree with Alan..........it isn't appropriate to have players from other teams playing at all times. I can imagine having a player of Ingers ability being of use to a teams training at times.

The Vikings opened our training preseason to all and sundry, but now i wouldn't do that.

Im struggling to make sense of what you just said james? Im not sure if you are having a go at inger or the HB team or wether you are having a go at English in general

can you please try that again?

Totally agree with Alan..........it isn't appropriate to have players from other teams playing at all times. here what I mean is it is up to the team to allow outside players be around their trainings.

I can imagine having a player of Ingers ability being of use to a team's training at times. Inger is a good player and certainly if this was my team i would invite him along most of the times to share his knowledge and raise the skill levels. By sharing knowledge I don't mean he has to coach, rather just learn the way he does things.

The Vikings opened our training preseason to all and sundry, but now i wouldn't do that. Now that the season is underway it is more important to focus on specifics rather than general skill/ fitness levels. Having outside players would just make that task more difficult.

does that help mike? I know what i am thinking............

it was just that 1st bit I had trouble with. I see trainnig was meant to be in there somewhere.
it was good to have inger at pre season as it was another good player to train against tho his shots were a bit wayward sometimes, lets hope he hasn't changed much :p

Bugger doesn't look like I am going to make my first million on that secret footage scheme. It seems that all the great players leave HB and probably take this one great play with them.

So everyone already knows this one great play. But wait what if I was to somehow copyright it then everyone who leaves the Bay would have to pay royalties... oohhh yes here comes another money making idea!

Also would like to thank the HB men for the hard training they gave us. Was much appreciated no denying.

On a slightly related topic our women's team would welcome any overseas player(s) or someone from a team outside the Bay who wants to come and train with us. We appreciate diversity and the things we can learn from other people. It is good to have other people to play against at training, challenges us so we can work together better as a team in the face of different playing styles.

James is right it is up to the team to allow outside player's to training. Inger was at the pool because he has been training with the women's team. He was asked to come along by the women not to watch the men and collect intel for the Knights.

It is only difficult if you make it difficult.

Yes James I understand what you are rambling on about, I completely agree and did just as you described........Great minds and great coaches must think alike

Now Libby, is postage and handling included for HB players or do we organise freight ourselves to get our sticky fingers on this bible of yours?
Can I have a bulk discount as I will need one for each of the HB mens players?

Resto in attesa di una Sua cortese risposta
