Why do we not yet know the times and days this will be held? Its about a week to go, people have to book flights, accomodation etc along with people from other uni's calling me up wondering the same things... Sort it out!

I myself am one of the people Paul is referring to.. As the Uni holidays for us have just started, I have returned home to Napier. Therefore, it would be good to know when I should be coming back down so that I don't turn up a day or so early, a hassle which will waste time and money - money that I don't have! Has anyone from any of the other Unis heard anything that our own Uni has been too slack to tell us?!? Its less thatn a weeks 'till the Games, and we don't even know the set days.....

For a National tournament, this is pretty damn slack.

Any help would be appreciated... Right now we're in the friggen dark....

Hi Guys.
Probably the wrong arena to be asking this question. As canoe polo within Uni-games is not organised by NZCPA nor is it a NZCPA event. Would it not be better to be talking to the hosting university or your students association. As a member of WCPA commitee we have heard nothing nor have we been asked to organise anything. Sounds like the pool is booked or is it.
By the way have fun and don't drink too much with the first National league competition the following weekend.

There are only 5 teams, there is no way we will be playing 9-5 3 days in a row, but yea everyone has to be there on tuesday for sign on, at the basin reserve. Matt Sime is not in charge, that site said Penny and Rosemary but Rochelle contacted Penny yesterday and she doesnt know, I guess we just meet at Kilbirnie at 10 on Wednesday

Teams should have received all the necessary info through their respective student organizations.

All teams must be registered at the basin reserve on Tuesday (although I believe there is some allowance for people arriving early on wed morning) There are set registration times for each university which can be found on the web site.

The opening ceremony is being held at the Chicago sports cafe at 7:30 on the Tuesday night.

Game times are between 10 & 6 on wed and 9 & 6 on Thursday and Friday. Team managers must be at the pool (Wellington regional aquatic center) at 9am on Wednesday to run over the competition format & rules. As has been stated there are however only 5 teams so I doubt there will be a full competition schedule.

-Draws should be available on Tuesday

Teams which are late to or do not play assigned games will be fined $120 dollars per game.

Happy paddling all

See you on the pool
