Hello,

I'm Joao and I'm GalaSport distributer here
in Portugal.

You can find more information about the
GalaSport Polo Kayak(s) at www.galasport.com

Also notice that, if it exists, GalaSport will redirect you
to a local GalaSport dealer in your country.

The are to types of polo kayaks manufactured by Gala:

The SPHINX model (I'm using one) for paddlers
up to +/- 75 or 80 Kg.

The KNIGHT model, with some extra volume for
persons with more than 80Kg.

Hope that helps you.

Best regards.

Joao Botelho.

Cze-Can Imports is the Galasport distributor in Canada.

Their web site is www.galasportpaddles.com

Shipping from Canada to Mexico might be cheaper than from Portugal....

:D

Cheers, Tristan.

The French men's captain (#2), sorry don't know his name was paddling a Galasport Sphinx. From memory, most of the other French guys were paddling Revenge Nitros.

Cheers, Tristan.

Dear Tristan,

Obviouslly I'm not thinking on selling a kayak
from Portugal to any other country; the propose
of my post was just to give more information to
Gerard...

Best regards.

Looks a lot like the Vampire, doesn't it?

BTW: Checking the "Zedtech" item of "Competition" (just go up one level to the main website), the poloboat displayed there (POLOPRIME ?) looks quite a lot like the Revenge.

I couldn't find any prices on that site so does anyone have any information on that?

Ah, just found the prices: you have to apply for them (smart, easy changing the prices without changing your site).

Prices are:

SPORT 1079 €
RACING 1279 €
OLIMPIC 1479 €

Sport: epoxy resin, kevlar/carbon fabric, sandwich spheretex (?)
(beginners layup)
Racing: epoxy resin, kevlar/carbon fabric
Olimpic: expoxy resin, kevlar/carbon, from the description this looks like vacuum bagging? At least it says something about high pressure?

One guy at our club paddles a Sphinx, he got it as a bargain..
He came from a felix 393 and it definitely helped his game..

He's very happy with it, it turns fast and is quick, And that says a lot since he comes from the very! fast 393 though he hasn't paddled it often in training with us yet.. so I can't comment on durability.

BTW Arend Bloem Kayak Centrum imports Galasport paddles and polo boats in the Netherlands so you might ask him for information.
