Hi guys,

I just arrived from Hongkong into Christchurch a few days back. I am staying on Homestead Lane for a few months. I am looking for a canoe polo club that I can train and learn with. Although I do not have any equipment, I am really keen to improve. Canoe polo in NZ is one of the highest level in the world, and it's my desire to learn as much as I can in this period.

So are there any guys here from Burnside( or anywhere near I stay?) that can show where to go for canoe polo training?

Tuesday night, 6:30pm
Social 3-aside competition

Lake Rotokohatu
Northwest end of Sawyers Arms Road, (NW of Johns Rd roundabout)

This will be the best time to catch up with the keener locals and find out when they are doing some training.

Hopefully someone can give you a call if they can take you out there or can set you up with some gear.

Cheers
troy

Hey mate,

Thanks for the helpful info. Could please provide me with some directions?
The metro website is not able to shed any light on its location, and the people around me have no idea where lake Rotokohatu is either. Even the maps I have are only guides to places of interest.

The bus around me are 3 Mt Pleasant - Ilam, 21 Sumner, the orbiter and metrostar. Maybe there could be some kind souls that could bring me there? : )

cheers,

I don't blame Thrill for losing a few bearings in CHCH, a flat city with little large structures based around a gridlocked road plan with only the port hills and the sthrn alps as natural landmarks for orientation...palmy is quite the same. great city nonetheless, christchurch that is.
