Atahua Cup - Function

HI,

As previously advertised in the Atahua Cup thread, a function will be run during the Atahua competition - at the Chalet (the big building by the lagoon)

We've had some feedback regarding the night for the function...

Please could those people attending the Atahua competition, complete vote for either a Saturday night or Sunday night function?

Mmmm Palmy on a Sunday Night interesting??? My vote goes for Saturday, means I can get back to Wellies and enjoy Waitangi Day in the capital.

When i first started playing polo turning up to the second day often the finals day hung over or more often then not still drunk was the done thing.

I do not play canoe polo for the piss up never have never will! yes i really enjoy sitting down after the comp and downing a few with my friends and fellow competitors.

i would hate to think that as a sport we have regressed back so that its about the drinking not the compitition!!:thumbdown

I agree Jase...it's not often that we have a day off after a polo comp so we might as well make the most of it and have the function on the last night.

A party after the comp would accomodate prize-giving (if any) also. Those people who'd want to go out on a saturday night still can as clubs and the such will be open.

i know i said i was all for saturday night and still am but you can have fun with out drinking, any way go for sunday for evreryone to have a good night, and i'll think of all of you while im at work on monday :D

2 and a bit months before Oceania, so would be best to get the most out of the polo on the weekend.
How many people really make it town after those things anyway? Serious question, I`m usually not in any state to work out what`s going on by that stage.
I`ve always thought of Sunday as being a good day for drinking anyway.
