Hi,
I'm really keen to get some info about this new boat from anyone who has tried it. - Specifically interested in:
speed
maneuverability
pros + cons
and comparisons with previous Vamp S
Any comments much appreciated.

Hi Becks,:wavey:
No one can give you these details yet as none have been made yet- we have had a major heat wave in Adelaide for over 2 weeks and are way behind schedule with moulds. The specs are just being finalised and photo's on the web soon. There will be a Demo boat for both the 2006 and 2006S in NZ as soon as possible which Cameron and Oosty will be showing off.

- that was supposed to be a Mexican cry, but the clones aren't quite in sync.
Thanks for the explanation.
Could you say what improvements are being made for the 2006S and the target date for the first lot to be available?

I am currently creating a specs page with photo's of the plug which will be up online this afternoon (26/1).
The 2006 has a concaved back deck and the corners of the deck either side of the cockpit have been shaved off to give better turning. The nose has been shaved down to give better nose control. 10mm has been shaved off the widest point either side to give a more streamlined boat (less diamond shape) which has picked up a bit of speed. And there will be a new cockpit and seat system for better comfort including a lower back edge for easier rolling.
We also have a new Carbon Kevlar laminate which is stiffer, more durable and a fraction lighter for the top of the range laminate.
All details should be up shortly.

Hi Serge,
The prices and laminate details are now on my site at:http://www.kayaksplus.com/documents/VampireKayaklaminates_003.pdf
We have received over 50 orders in the last 2 weeks! Delivery time is currently about 10-12 weeks due to the large number of orders.
We already have an order likely from St Omer in France- we could combine an order from your club as well to make freight cheaper if that helps.

Hay Duncan, i posted this somewhere else on a thread but i don't know how often people read this forum so: I saw the Elite carbon boat on your site, it's half a kilo lighter than the normal carbon one i think, but what i want to know is if it is stronger or weaker than the rest? cheers!
p.s there was quite a good picture on www.sportspix.com.au (http://www.sportspix.com.au) of you hand tackleing me off your boat if you havn't already seen it.
You stole my custom made avatar you weirdo!
