Have a look at this interesting email. A tournament in Jan 2007 on Reunion Island. A very cool place to the east of Madagascar. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the email.

The Regional Committee of Canoe Kayak of Reunion Island (CRCK) is going to organise an open canoe polo tournament which will take place on : January 20 th 2007 and January 21 st 2007.
This tournament is essentially for experienced senior mens and ladies teams (national and club team). We are ready to accept U21 mens and ladies teams.
Friendly matches and paddling training will take place for those who wish from January 15 th to January 18 th.
The CRCK is prepared to help to organise your trip on the island if you want to stay at different places and explore our rivers and our island.
We are looking for financial support from private partners and in july
2006 we will let you know about the financial support given to each team.
