Hi Guys,
I am gathering information on any canoe polo activity which might have occured in any of these Eastern European countries prior to 1992.
I know for sure that there was some activity in Hungary as we had a team from Budapest (Honved) in the late 1980's-early 1990's, so there must have been other clubs playing there.
Although the Honved team is no more, I would like to know if there is any body in Hungary (and other countries in this grouping) who have something to contribute as I would very much like to include their mention in my next book update scheduled for late this year.

I am from Latvia but moved to US in 1996 and I have some information how polo started in Latvia, Lithuania and Soviet Union (I guess, it was 1987). I'll get back to you when I get more.

There was some canoepolo action in Czech republic in early 90ties but not exactly sure when
there was some australian team on tour in czech republic and they have played with some local guys(so maybe you can try to get some info from australia, there should be someone who remembers), they took the australians in some pubs and meanwhile coppied their boats(we played on them when we restarted canoepolo in 2000)
and as I remember from some former members I met thez use to go for some tournaments in Belgium and Holland.
