Hi Guys,
I am curious to know if there had been any canoe polo activity in Switzerland prior to 1992 before the universal ICF Rules were adopted.
So far, the only European canoe polo activity prior to those dates is documented to the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Holland. I would like to know if there was any approach to this sport also by any of your countrymen during that period of time, as I believe if there are any other countries which also were part of this movement; these people should get due merit and recognition of their endeavours.

Unfortunately, in the process of developing this sport in many countries, there was little or no documentation to record this at all. If anybody who reads this post, (and there must be some of you ‘old timers’ out there) can give me some insight into this information: which teams were active, who were the main promoters of this movement, where they played, the top teams of that time, the names of the top players, the way they played etc

Any information no matter how small that you may have on this subject will be well appreciated. Any news can be PM or emailed to me through this forum.

As I am printing a second edition of my book, changing the format of the photographs from b/w to colour, etc., I am optimistic in substaining my opinion that there were far many more countries playing this game than many people (including me) are currently aware of.

Thanks!

Ciao Reza. Prior to 1992 we have not played yet in Zurich. We started the year after. 1993 we played our first polo match in the eastern part of Switzerland. Pfyn is the name of the place. They organised their first tournament back in 1986 - the name of the person is Pierre Léchot. I'll try to introduce you...
