This is what I've come up with so far (my WAG though) - Senior Men only:

Pre-Qualified from 2004 Worlds (16 teams):
Netherlands
Germany
Great Britain
France
Italy
Spain
Portugal
Ireland
Switzerland
Sweden
Canada
Taiwan
Japan
Hong Kong
Australia
New Zealand

Qualified via Continental Championships so far:
Europe - Belgium
Americas - Brazil
Africa - South Africa
Asia - Unknown
Oceania - None

Total of 19 teams thus far. Five spots remaining.

For your information. Asian Canoe Championship 2005 which held in Putrajaya Malaysia on 17 - 20 December 2005,the result for canoe polo are:-

Teams invited to enter next world's (Amsterdam, 9 to 13 august 2006) are as follows (qualified and wildcards). Federations have to accepte (or to decline) before 10th february 2006.

Replys should be made by the Canoe federation of each country to the I.C.F., not to the organization!!!

Women -21 teams will not participate. This is a decision made by the I.C.F., not by the organization.

The site of the organization will be updated in very short notice.
