I will spend a few months (October - February) in Melbourne and it would be good to have a team to train with during that time. Does anyone know any teams that might want an extra player for a few months and will keep playing during the summer?
Cheers,

Hi Caroline,

there is an infomal summer competition I am sure you can get a game in.

There is also training that happens on the yarra river quite regularly.

If you send me an email when you are here

sgibson@totalgymcare.com.au

I will find out the times etc to you can turn up and chat to some people.

Regards

Gibbo :)

hey i'm planning to spend a couple of months in melbourne possibly sept to december and wondering if the polo training caters for beginners? i've some experience with canoe polo however the polo training that i have done should be ignored!:D I see myself as a more intermediate beginner. Is the training indoor or outdoor? would i need to have my own gear? all i have is a wet suit.

There is plenty of training that you could come and do in Melbourne at that level. YOu shouldn't been needing a wet suit in those months, even for outdoor training which is mainly what we do. Your own gear would be the best but someone would most likely be able to lend you some of their old stuff if you really need it.
