View Full Version : Official site for the 7th ICF Worldchampionships Canoepolo 2006 in Amsterdam

Today the site of the Seventh I.C.F. World Championships Canoepolo next year in Amsterdam is officially brought in to use. The Worldchampionships are held at the rowing track ‘De Bosbaan’ in Amsterdam from the 9th till the 13th of august 2006. De site is in Dutch and English. To reach the English part of the site click the British flag on the right hand of the site. The site is still in development, so not all the features are on it. The site contains some information about the location and program. We working on additional information and new materials.

It is good to see that the Netherlands Federation are prepared to supply and offer information at this early stage. Keep up the good work.

How far (more or less) is De Bosbaan from Van Woustraat?. Can I go walking from here or is it a long way?

Try a routeplanner.... i think it's about 6km away.
So you can take a bike an take a look;)

It'll take about an half hour with public transport (bus and tram), and about 15 min by car.
If you like a walk, 6km is about right and it depends on your walking pace how much time it'll take to get where you want to go.

I don' know about the exact distance, maybe 10-15 min walk, quite some guys will use a bike.

i sent in the usa u-21 etap hotel reservation form in over three week ago and have not heard anything back from the organizers. finally contacted the hotel itself and they said they had a few rooms left. so i wrote them back to resevre some rooms and they wrote back and said their are all full. i have no idea if i have rooms are not.

Maybe you should try Martijn Rol. He's from the WC organization and knows about the hotels.

Have you tried to reserve some rooms in the IBIS Amsterdam Airport Hotel? That's is the other hotel mentioned on the Worlds website http://worlds.canoepolo.nl/index.php?p=7

You can already find the reports of building the playing fields, the accreditation and the opening ceremony.
