wouldnt it be a great idea if at competitions there was a shooting contest, or a "best shot" competiton. not for the hardest shot but the tricky-ist or most styleish. like a slam dunk competition in basketball.

It can be, and it`s really good way.
For exapmle after some of tourtiments in russia we choose "best pass person" to popularize combination style game.
Just buy a ball or smth like that, go to tourtiment organizators and say, that you (your team, your town, your BOSS) want to set up new nomination "best shot".
And it make your game more attractive !

Here in Macau, we had set up a couple times of tournament with, not ball-shooting contest but, PHOTO Shooting contest cooperated with local photography clubs. Turned out that was really good and attracted many non-polo-players came there and watch throughout the games. The most wonderful thing was that the Press-Guys came too. We got many responds and attentions in those tournament. Plus we got thousands of supreme photos after the games~
