pools in scotland

Just out of interest, how many/ which pools in scotland allow polo?

Very few of any quality to be honest.


Midweek Rosyth Naval Pool for training.
Weekend Glenrothes for comps, but not a particularly large pool.

Apart form these two we seem to be struggling in general.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Was kinda looking for a long list, to help persuade our pool that polo is not so evil!

Selkirk & Galashiels pool allow it no problem, just that the pools are a bit small.

Have played in Hawick pool in the past too.

Cowdenbeath, Wishaw, Kircaldy have all held polo in the past, but Wishaw along with Easterhouse have now been demolished.

Hopefully others can give you some more examples

looks like we are about to be booted out of Rosyth for repairs and we won't be getting back in.
Kirkcaldy is closing so we are out there too.
George and Al have been searching for pools for the Scottish champs and have came up with nothing. I have also been looking to find a pool to train in but any of a decent size wont let us in.

Bad news on Rosyth - they are carring out repairs - but have also decided that Polo is bad for them :( They have stated that they will not allow polo back in. Don McLean is trying his forces card on this and will get back to us -

Stirling Uni - if you need assistance getting letters etc from SCA and BCU let me know - we would love to gain access to that nice big pool!!
