Just to confirm the following on Youth Team Entries.

"A player may enter a youth team if their birthday is on or before the 1st May 1987"

This coincides with the start of the Polo season, that player is then eligable to compete for the rest of the season as a youth.

At last entries have started to come in, what is it about people that makes them wait until the last minute before doing something that they have known for weeks that they are going to do???

I guess I will have to do my forms ..... soon!

DON'T MISS THE DEADLINE!!

Is there any chance of putting up the names of entered teams so we know our entry forms got to you, not that I don't trust the postal service but it would be nice to know.

hi, how do you deceide which teams go in which divisions, is it just done by the position they are in, in the national leagues?

one of the intentions of the champs is that any team that enters can win,
so in theory there will be only one division. however experience dictates that this is not practical, so we band teams, usually based on experience, general knowledge and league positions, allowing for some cross over to make for the best games for all and still giving the possibility (however slim) for all teams to win.

Getting a system like that to work well is tricky and one one of the reasons that the closing date is THE FIRST OF MAY. for a tournament on the 28th.

however at the moment the job will be quite simple as the teams that have entered could play a straight league - I do hope that will change....

must do my entry soon

Whatever system you used last year worked well, I think we played nine games and all but 2 were close, including some great golden goal games!

Entries are now closed for the Club Champs, if you have not sent in your entry and you have a "genuine reason", it may still be considered (subject to committee approval).

Please check the canoepolo.org.uk (http://www.canoepolo.org.uk/) website for playlists.

Look forward to seeing you on the 28/29th May;)

Being as I am world renound as an understanding and patient philathropist (sp?).
I am prepared to assume that any entries that I receive between now and friday the 6th May have been held up by a minor and local postal hiccough in the Ilford area.

After that I shall be of to the Div 1 weekend in Liverpool and will be doing the groups and stuff over that weekend
