Hi,
I just bought a 2nd hand revenge nitro which was freighted back from europe. The original owner had some problems with the seat which had come loose. The back support of the seat had come loose and when u do drills like stern dip and bow lift, you can feel the seat moving.
When i bought the boat from him, he sent the boat for repairs. The guy whom did the repairs took out the original back support and added 2 small back supports, something like the kayakplus vampire seat.
When i had used the boat for about roughly 5 trainings, one of the back support came off, meaning it detached from the seat. I was shocked as i had only been using the boat for normal drills and only about 2 games which i never suffered any hard knocks.
I went back to the repairs guy and he told me that the back supports are just additional stuff. The main support for the revenge nitro comes from the front and the sides of the seat. He said that i can carry on using the boat.
I'm a bit worried about my seat now cos its a bit shaky, meaning i can feel it move slightly when i use the boat. I asked my seniors and they said that the seat is not suppose to move at all. I looked at their boats, all vampires, and their seats are all stable.
Any advice on how nitro seats are secured in place or how i can repair my seat properly ? Thanks !!!
