This year the National League(NL) will comprise of 4(possibly 5, tbc) competitions, best 3 results counting.

The entry fee for the National League 2005 will be €40.

Teams entered in the NL will not have to pay any further National Canoe Polo Committee levies at any of the NL competitions(€20 per team per competition) - meaning by attending the minimum 3 comps, you save €20, attend 4 and save €40 etc.

In some of the NL competitions(possibly Belfast/Limerick), the number of teams is usually restricted as only one pitch is available indoors - so teams already entered in the NL will be given priority over others.

Dates are as follows :

Belfast (http://www.canoepolo.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5610): April 16/17 (4 aside, indoor)
Limerick (http://www.canoepolo.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5816): April 23/24 (indoor)
Carrick-on-Shannon: June 4/5
Cork: August 20/21
Wicklow/Dublin: Venue and date to be confirmed.

Entries will be accepted up to April 15.

This will be updated when we have confirmation on the venue for the 5th competition, as of now it's best 3 results from a possible 4, from 5 if the last competition goes ahead.

Folks
The National League has been suspended due to lack of entries.

Each of the individual competitions shall be going ahead through.

The only competition not listed above is the National Club Championships in Kilcock on the 16/17th July.

Is there going to be a Wicklow / Dublin event after all?

At the minute we are working with Blessington to have a competition. WWKC are also looking to run a competition so as soon as we can clarify dates I will ensure to get them published. There is also the possibiltiy of a tournament in Enniskillen.

If they all work out this will mean an extra 3 tournaments this year.
