A word of advice this is an invitation only comp that has limited entries and only the top teams are invited from each country. It would be good to go and watch though.

Invitation to Italian Tournament this summer
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Curly,

I read your article on this forum, and it brought to my mind that maybe you are not aware that our club too organises an International worthy of top teams coming.

From the late 70's till the early 90's we organised an INVITATION TOURNAMENT for the best teams around Europe.

Unfortunately, because I was transferred to the USA from 1992-2003, we could not organise any tournaments, and it was only until 2004 that we got back in organising our yearly International here in north-east Italy.

Now as we are getting back into the groove, and have got back in organising our annual event, the reputation of our tournament is slowly being circulated again in Europe with positive results.

With last years edition, the top teams have started to come back and play here.

I can assure you that if your Men's team does come back and play this year here in San Giorgio di Nogaro, you will be very satisfied with both the organisation and the atmosphere here, not to mention the results.
Last year your junior team which came here with MARK P, played a very hard and competitve game and came in 3rd place, but I am sure that there is desire to come back and play to win this time.
We would look forward to see your team back here.
In the late 80's MERIDIAN was present more than once, as were the DRAGON's team, not to mention as were teams from Germany, Holland and Hungary.
The tournament is only open to 16 teams and as of now at this early stage, we have KVKEISTAD from Holland, HOLTE RC from Denmark, AS MARINER from Rome, CC FIRENZE (Div 1, Italy), CANOA SAN GIORGIO (Div 1, Italy).

We have also had many contacts from other national and foreign clubs/National teams, but until they know their respective calendars for 2005, some cannot commit themselves at this very early stage.

The dates for the fixture is: 9 & 10 July 2005.
Drop me a line if you will,
