referee question: boattackle to somebody with under water ball possesion

May i use a boat tackle to somebody who has a ball in his hands when he is capsized?

No, you have to let the capsized player get their head and shoulders above the water line before you can tackle them at all.

Rule 17.2 says both shoulders. It's not directly a kayak tackle rule, but the Unsporting Behaviour rule, but it still applies.

I agree with mike, both shoulders and head must be above the water's surface to tackle them again.:cheers: :gun:

Just for clarification, this applies to both Hand Tackle and Kayak Tackle.
