I am about to buy (for all intents and purposes) a brand new Revenge Nitro. It is Carbon/Kevlar - Vacuum Bagged. Was wondering if people out there are quite fond of this boat? I paddled it around and was amazed at how easily I can turn this boat, but from talking to three-four people in the states (and one Austrialian visiting Canada) I have heard that this boat is not really that durable? For all the nitro paddlers out there, what has been your experience with the boat? Any information about durability, upkeep, incidental quirks particular to the boat? Thanks.
Happy Holidays all and have a wonderful New Year,

To be honest you wont find a much better construction out there than P&H especially the prepreg

Hi Chiang ,
I have a revenge nitro and have had one for a good number of years .
I think that you are looking at buying a solid and top quality boat ,.
I have paddled my kevlar/carbon " not pre-preg " boat in some of the toughest games and as a tough tackler and getting hit alot around the front end my boat has stood up to some pretty crunching stuff !!!
The only problem being is the gel coat coming away from the fibre around the forward area's where the noses of other boats have impacted " but it doesnt leak " .
I also have to say that the seat " italian " is one of the most comfortable seats I have played / trained in . Its the only boat that I dont get a large rubbing/ bruising mark on the top of my butt  .
I hope you find the boat exceeds your expectations and happy paddling .

Hi Tony,
good to see you have seen sence and are buying a great boat. I have had my pre preg for 6-7 years now with only 3 slight cracks, easily repared. The boat is light, durable and responcive.
For you, this would be a great buy. Hope you are keeping up your training for next US nationals!!!
See you then.
Matt

I have the nitro and it's the best boat I've paddled yet.
is very durable and stands upto almost anything, it got blown off my car roof the other week and there's nothing wrong with it (car wasn't moving as I was just tying it down) but it went a good 6 feet in the air.

My pre-preg revenge is still watertight two years on, 2-3 sessions per week. Great construction - I have heard from some engineer friends that uv light degrades kevlar so have kept my boat in a boat bag wherever possible - I don't know how much this contributed to its great survival.
Happy christmas,

Someone found out that the tips might break when your little cousins use it as a seesaw... :)

Thanks for the responses; I think that I am going to really enjoy paddling this boat. As for the durability...seems that everyone who has contacted me via this post raves about the strength of the revenge...I will make sure that no one uses it as a See-Saw though :D
