Canada Canoe Polo Players,
I have confirmed the following dates and times for the Nov 27,28th Canada Canoe Polo Training camp.
Sat, Nov 27 Dryland 8:30-10:30 am Kinsman Volleyball Court #5
Sat, Nov 27 Group Meeting in the Kinsman stands (go through the cafeteria) 6:30-7:30 pm
Sat, Nov 27 Kinsman Comp Pool 8-10pm
Sun, Nov 28 Dryland 10:30 am-noon ***Commonwealth Gym**** Address: 11000 Stadium Road Tel: 496-6999
Sun, Nov 28 Kinsman Comp Pool 1:30-3:30 pm
The cost of this camp is $30/person. We need 19 people to attend so that we break even, so please come out and support this camp. Right now I have 7 confirmed. Please email me if you are coming.
The camp is targeted for those persons who have been on Canada’s U17, U21 and senior teams in the past (Continental Cup or Worlds), or are serious about being on these teams in the future. Any persons who attended the 2003 National team selections would be permitted to attend. If anyone is not sure if they are permitted to be there, please email me and the name of your local area coach or mentor, who can verify that you are at a sufficient skill level to attend these camps.
The purpose of these camps is to prepare Canadian Canoe Polo players for the 2005 Continental Cup team selections, and for participation in the 2005 Continental Cup to be held in Edmonton in the summer of 2005.
Additionally, please contact me if you would like to be a coach at these camps.
Xmas Camp
Also please note Canada Canoe polo will not be having a xmas camp in Edmonton this year. Simply put, having two camps in Edmonton during xmas puts both the EWP and Canada Canoe Polo camps at financial risk, and there is very limited pool time available (dive tank only), and this would not suit the needs of our group.
The Wapiti Whitewater Kayakers will be having an elite training camp in Grande Prairie and people are welcome to attend. Dates, times, costs are to be confirmed. Also EWP is having their Youth/Masters camp in Edmonton so paddlers unable to make the Wapiti camp, should try and attend the EWP camp. Also, I would like to encourage the various active canoe polo regions, BC ,Sask. to also have their own regional camps this xmas.
I will be working on Canada Canoe Polo camp dates for March and April so stay tuned.
Best Regards,
Rob Kerestes
