Hey guys, I started paddling again adn I get sooo tired sooooooo quickly. What is the best way to increase my arm ENDURANCE off the water? (we are only on once a week. I figure the only way I can fix this problem is in between.)

i dont know about off water things, but we do have alot more water time than that if you want to get in to shape. monday we have pool time at kinsmen, along with thursday, and friday, we also have dryland at the field house on tuseday. also there are min tournes almost every second weekend at cornation, off set by the other comps we have through out the winter. your best bet may be hit a few other sessions up, only prob is........ the cash flow.

The lack of money is why I was asking about off water training. I cant afford any of the extra stuff unfortunately.

Tisk, Tisk, Tisk

You guys...I can't believe you guys!! Last night we had a tournament all planned out @ coronation hoping 20-30 people would show up!! Well that most certinly was not the case, you know how many pople showed up? 11, enough for 2 teams, one with a sub. And then we talked poor Mrs.Lukasik into reffing for us, and Ben's mom to keep score. But b/c of the lack of people we had a pizza break at about 8:30 so...:p but oh well we all got a lot of play time, the kids wooped the grown-ups a number of times...I think we even won the whole shebang, Dale wouldn't show us the score sheets, i think he destroyed them, i hear i was the top scorer, plus like I mentioned earlier we won the tourny, so maybe the oldies were a little sour ;). But look out all you paddlers that skipped b/c the flamethrowers are cominggggggggggggggggggggg!

try this-

lie on your back and throw a polo ball straight up in the air (chest pass or not) and don't let it hit the ground whent you catch it, if you keep doing this for awhile you'll finde you're arms get fairly sore. And in exercise pain=good, I think;)

Hey T, I think that we should start doing that stationary air paddling that roy was getting us to do at kinsmen (not sure if you were there), but it was really good for working on balance and also to get the turn-over rate higher.

I told ppl about this before and they just laughed at me like they always do. I believe it's also good to work on getting rid of your spin you put on the ball because I know I'm the worst one for that.

This is something I've been thinking of, but haven't put into practice...yet, but you could try hooking up some elastic tubing to an old paddle shaft, and tie the other end to a wall, and get your paddling work out that way. You could also try doing push-up claps. I know they are hard to do, and I'm not sure if they will help with paddling, but they will help you to absolutely throw a b*tch down when you hand tackle them! Rowing machines at the gym also work sweet if you have the time, and bling to get there.

Hey guys we have to remember that polo isn't about one short powerful sprint but a bunch of them over and over again for 20 minutes! make sure that you are conditioning your muscles for such activity. try doing lighter weights but doing set of 60. or even better doing activities that involve core use over a long period such as swimming or cross country skiing.

NO way. I don't beliece Loic's hair has EVER been that short. I am still holding my belief it is Charlie. :) Sorry Loic.

So how did the competition go???
