Heya All,
I am looking at purchasing a polo boat here in the near future. I have paddled the Mega Raptor and found it a tad too small (not by much), and I have paddled the OBECO Condor which is a tad too big. Does anyone know of a good boat in the 200 to 210L range for a 90 kg boater? I heard OBECO is making the Lettmann Fighter, where does this boat fall in respects to the 90 kg weight range. Looking for any input. Cheers. Eric:canada:

Hey! I am looking to sell my "Vampire S" made by kayaks plus. (Australian import.) It has seen one worlds and since hasn't been in any major competition. Mostly just been paddled on a lake this summer. I am selling it for $900. This is an AWESOME boat! Contact me at tessss_t@hotmail.com

Hello Tess,
Thanks for your reply but I think the Vampire S would be way too small for me! :canada:

Heya Spike,
I'm wondering how heavy you are in relation to the boat. I am finding that the boats out on the market are so weight specific. Kayaks Plus states that the weight range for the 2001 Vampire is between 80 kg and 120 kg, but this seems too wide of a range to be believable. If you have any photos, send those too.....oh, and how much?

Hey Eric,
From what I've seen, the Aussies have always liked to paddle smaller volume boats, so the 80kg lower limit is pretty deceptive. I'm usually around 75kg and find the Vamp 2001 to be good for that weight range. There should be a bunch of boats around for the tourn. in Nov. so you should wait and try as many as you can. I think you'll probably like the Lettmann Fighter so make sure you take one for a spin!
Hope this helps:thumbup:

Andrew,
Thanks for your input. These boats don't fit anywhere near what a whitewater boat does. Usually you can get away with being a bigger boater in a small boat before it becomes too unstable, I am finding this is not the case with these lightweight polo boats. I do like the OBOCO Condor, but I would rather find a boat that meets my body weight. Hard to find anything that falls in the 90kg paddler weight range that can perform. I'll try out some boats at the tournament and see. Do you know of anyone with a Lettmann Fighter? See ya tonight, E
