We are currently sorting through our options as to which club we will be joining in Palmerston North there are a few options available to us at present. As with the team name it is still being worked on but possibly Xpose

:p I'm glad I asked, so I could get to you first: that's a terrible name! It sounds like a lingerie brand. I'll lend you $20 to buy a bra if you name your team that. I'll charge $20 an hour to help you paint a bra onto your bibs. Choose another name!

So when are you boys going to challenge for the Burnside-Kiwi Trophy? It would be nice to have another team after the standard "Justice beat (your team name here)" inscription.

We probably won't be playing out of kiwi so the competition would have to be opened up Jimmy but i would say we would be keen

The trophy is due for a rename and redefinition of the rules. We've been planning to sort that out for a while but just haven't got round to it. Although it started as a Kiwi/Burnside thing the idea is that it's more like the Ranfurly shield, and is available for challenge to whoever wants to travel to try and get it.

Anyway, some of us down here are planning to update the rules, get approval from the folks at Kiwi (since they had an equal hand in the establishment of the trophy), and then publish them, probably here and on the NZCPA website, so that we will have a nationally recognisable challengeable trophy.

Hope that makes sense. We'll try to sort it out by the end of October.

Dean is correct, it was always the intention to open up the Kiwi / Burnside trophy to outside challenges.

I would welcome the introduction of clear rules for outsiders to challenge for this Trophy.

Thank you

HI all, hope the new team organises itself well and becomes a firm contender in the national League and decides to come across the ditch next year, as it would be great to catch up..........
