Folks

We have been made aware of the clash with the AGM. We are working on establishing an alternative date for the AGM. As soon as agreement is made I will get back to you.

The two proceding weekends are ou due to the bank holiday and Halloween.

Adrian & Commitee,

Would this be an opportunity to host the AGM outside of Leinster for a change?

As far as I know Richie handed out some at the weekend, the forms should be online in the next few days. Don't worry they'll be made available in plenty of time.

I think the AGM could be held in Limerick, at least it would be held in conjunction with a polo competition ensuring attendance of a few anyway. Also it would be the first time (as far as I can tell) for it to be held in Munster. The only province that matters anyway :D

Should the committee want it to be held in Limerick at this time then please let me know as i will be able to get a suitable function room on campus for no charge.

Folks

We are still looking into where andwhen we will hold the AGM. There is a secondary clash which would affect someof the committee attending on the 16th sounfortunatelythismay not be agood time.

Thanks for the offer of a room.

Hi Adrian,

It's great that the commitee are considering Limerick as a venue to hold the AGM. Hopefully one of the dates will be suitable.

I am sure it would mean a lot to the clubs and polo players in Munster who have put so much effort into the sport over the last couple of years, and it would be great recognition of the hard work that has been done in getting the Munster League and Cork Cup back up and running again after so long.

Cheers!:)

It will not be held on the 16th. I will hopefully have the date and details finalised this week.

Alright so First off, I would like to thank Richie for all the hard work he has put into this (even if he did show up late) and also Seanie Mac for the helping hand and wise words of wisdom.

I would also like to thank the lads from UL who helped with the set up of the pool and the table.

Just a couple of points to note from the first night,
In order to keep the competition on time once your game is finished LEAVE THE PITCH.

The next game will be starting as soon as the last has finished. Please be ready. You will also have to supply Refs for the game and the time table will be going up for Refs as well the next time.

Thanks

Then it would be a closed shop, Adrian! Our team are new this year to the Munster League and delighted that UL operated it on a first come basis.

The comp was well promoted at the Cork Cup and application forms were availalbe at the Irish Open in Kilcock.

It was also well advertised on this messageboard so I am surprised that anybody missed hearing about it.:)

Its a bit much to expect a personal invitation but maybe a suggestion for the next commitee could be to set up an email mailing list on Yahoo or something and advertise upcoming coming competitions that way.

PS
Fantistic comp on saturday night!! Well done to the organisers!

conor
19-10-2004, 10:52 AM
I agree with GrainneOK, there was enough info being passed around about the comp. I am surprised that with the number of paddlers in Kilcock that nobody has heard about it and did nothing about entering the competition. The organisers can't be responsible for ensuring everyone has been given an entry form personally. As GrainneOK said, it allows for new teams to enter and change the profile of the competition.

Regards

Conor

I have said as much to the people concerned but I do not know who organised the event and Trish wanted them to call her. I only passed on the message. I myself was well aware of the event happening.

As I have said good work in organising the event. Can one of the organisers get in contact with me too please as I would like to try and get the paperwork of you for the records of who has played this year.

Hi Sean

I am fully aware of the times the league runs at thanks. I am trying to establish whether i need to arrange additional players as on the 27th i may need to leave early. obviously if we are finished playing matches at 9pm thats not as big an issue as if we are playing the last match so seeing as the timetables have been decided it would be useful to see them.
