When: November 12, 2004 9:30 PM – midnight**

** The intent is to play games between local teams and teams that have flown in, to reduce the number of games on Sat. Teams must indicate if they are available to play on Friday night.
Where: Grande Prairie Leisure Centre, Indoor 25m pool, 11313-105 St.,(780) 538-0455
What: 4 on 4 Canoe Polo Tournament
• Teams of four with one sub (if required)
• 2 Goals will be used
Divisions: There will be four divisions to participate in:
• Open Division- mixed, for those who have been on a national team or continental cup team (not including U21 and U17).
• Club Division- mixed, for those people who want to play the game just one step slower than the open division and who have not been on a national team or continental cup team (except U21 and U17).
• Recreational Division- mixed, for those brand new to the sport, or aged 15-18 on the day of the tournament. No hand tackling
• Youth Division- mixed, for the smaller people. Typically 8-14 years of age. No hand tackling.
• Individuals can enter and will be assigned to a team in a division of their choice.
• NOTE: CLUBS ARE REQUESTED TO SUBMIT BALANCED TEAMS (I.E. NO STACKING OF TEAMS). Team entries will be reviewed.
Rules:
• All games will be a minimum of 14 minutes (2 x 7 min halves, 1 min half time). If the schedule permits the length of games will be increased.
• 2 min change over between games
• Play format will be round robin within pool and then a playoff playdown. The finals for each division will be the last games of the event. If tied, then overall goal differential will be used. If still tied, then goal difference between two teams used. If still tied then shootout will be used. Shootout ends when the first team misses on their sequence creating an uneven score.
Cost:
• Cost is $120 per team of four (or $30 per person) payable at the event
• Cost includes a minimum of 6 games, billeting for both nights (bring your sleeping bag and mat), usage of all equipment, and possibly Saturday evening pizza supper.
• Awards
• Tournament entry deadline is November 7th, 2004 Midnight.
Other Activities:
• Sunday 10 am there will be an awards brunch. A minimal fee will be charged.
