I've been talking to Alex Stanley and as he has no internet access he asked me to pass on this information.

There's a referees exam(written section) this Sunday (5th) at 12:00 upstairs at Wildwater Kayak Club.

There will also be an exam held on the Saturday morning of the Irish Open, time to be decided.

Also at the Irish Open people who do the referees exam will have the chance to have their refereeing assessed.

You can print the rules from www.canoe-polo.com (http://www.canoe-polo.com)

There is no cost for doing this exam, that's right you get something for free!

Any further questions contact Alex on 086-2721245

Can you get your refereeing assessed if you have been to the exam in wwkc too? and what does assessment involve is it to become a proper trainee or a ref?

Thanks

If you do the exam at WWKC or at the Irish Open you can doi the practical assessment at the Irish Open - depending on the availability of a qualified referee. Also if a person has already passed the written then they can also do the practical.

The practical assessment should be for you to become a qualified referee. But the assessor may state that you are not ready yet and have top do some more work.

Hope this answers your query
