View Full Version : Where have all the New Zealand players gone ???
Has any body heard how the teams are going over in Japan, results from the Awara International? Are they still alive?
I have had one email from Freya... but it didn't say anything other than its about 35 degrees and rolling doesn't cool them down as the water is warm... they all got sunburnt! But no talk about games etc....

Hi everyone!! we are still alive, and sorry about no communication but as becks said we are staying in the middle of nowhere and there are definetly no internet cafes there! but we are all good and having an awesome time. the games so far have just been friendly games, and we:ve been doing lots of training, we:ve been out on the lake twice a day and finally feel like can handle the heat, this weekend we have a little tournament, the girls play GB and Australia on saturday and not sure after that, then on Monday we travel myoshi
hope everyone is good back home, well let you knwo how we go!

Hi everyone
It is so good to finally get to a computer! It's another scorcher today but we are getting used to it. Luckily we play a water sport! We are good and haven't had any serious injuries so far. A few upset tummies and conjunctivitis is all we've had (touch wood).
Today the girls have a rest day today and have gone to Fukui on the train. It's about a 45min ride. We have just visited some castle ruins and had fancy sushi for lunch. I even went as far as trying fish egg sushi. Probably not the best food to eat before a big game!
Tomorrow we are having a friendly game against GB which will be good. This week we have just been playing the US and Canadian mens and womens teams. I might add that our womens team beat the US senior mens team and the Canadian U21 mens team.
The boys have been playing the Canadian and US mens teams too along with the Japanese U21 teams. They are playing the Aus mens team this afternoon so we are heading back soon to give them a bit of support.
Hopefully we can get on the internet in Miyoshi so we can let you all know how the weekend went.
See ya
Ali
Great that someone has finally found a computer in Japan and has finally posted some news good on you Becks.

Hope all is well and a big good luck to you all.
I know you can do well
Thanks for all the news and well done! Keep working hard, and I really hope that you get some fantastic results at the World Champs. My thoughts and best wishes are with you.
