View Full Version : polo PFD regulations, is this ok?

apart from the need for there to be padding front back and side is there any regulation for the thickness of the foam or floation
im just curious as i was surfing the web looking at a few PFD's and came across this PFD "supplement" i guess you could call it
ive attached a photo and if you want a better look here is the page

safety and thickness aside it looks looks like a pretty cool top which would be nice to paddle in as it would move freely with you and not restrict your paddling

Would it be slightly restrictive when it comes to throwing? Too much padding across the back of the shoulders?

Wow, very interesting PFD design there. Could be great if it was legal and allowed enough movement - here's the Body Protection Rule (http://www.canoepolo.com/forum/rules.php?rules=rules_item_icf_appendix_2#rules_ru les_item_icf_appendix_2_8)

The extra padding across the back of the shoulders could help those of us with rotator cuff problems, providing more stability and support when throwing.
