A Triathlon is being held in Ballymahon this Sunday (14th) as part of the Ballymahon Festival.
Entries at Ballymahon Bridge at 1:30
Race starts at 2:00
Single / Team / Mixed Team entries allowed.

10 mile cycle starting/ finishing at the Bridge.
2 Mile run starting at the Bridge, and finishing at Newcastle Bridge
(2 miles upstream on the river Inny)
2 mile paddle (one open Canoe class) to finish...
....you guessed it...at the Bridge.
Estimated 'average' duration race time 1h 10mins

Entries €8 single and €15 per team.
All entry fee proceeds are going to St. Christophers in Longford.
Prizes for single and team classes.
Just thought I'd put this up if some people don't plan to be in Kilcock at the weekend, sounds like a bit of craic :silly:

I've been helping to organise it and have been taking people out on the river to teach them how to get down safely. Will b in Kilcock myself so i will not be competing but there are CASH prizes of 100 euro for the winner so i'm told.
Also Picturehouse are playing on saturday night at 9.15pm on the street.

So what type of boats are allowed enter in the canoeing leg?

any type of boat as long as it is of the general purpose class i.e no www's or k1s,
