Hi, i'am not an computer expert. But is it possible to work with webcams in Japan? So the hole world can watch the games live by internet.

Maybe de organisation can put webcams on serveral spots. So you can see it from different angles.

Bye, Erik

Just camera's and a connection with internet i think.
You do have to find people to film the matches:).

I think a live feed for canoepolo matches has a big disadvantage.

First of all, the quality will be low, the higher it is, the faster your internet connection would have to be.
And I don't mean from the point of the viewer, but the one from the organiser. You have to take into account that each person, watching a live feed, takes up abou 128 kbit/s and more, depending on the quality. A simple cable connection or ADSL line could then feed 2 to 8 viewers (depending on the speed) which isn't very much.

A more interesting approach, I think, is to tape all the matches and put them on a server after the finish of the match. This way people can download them and even save them for later use.
