It is this way every time we come up for a tournament in winter. You tell us "it's only -5 or -6 eh", and we think - ooh those nice friendly Canadians, it will be "nice this year. Then we show up, it's -40 - so cold your snot freezes when you breathe in. :frosty:
I just don't understand how you can get your national weather service to get in on your fraud. Clearly this is a conspiracy of national proportions.
Seriously though - we can't wait for the chance to freeze our butts off. :bgrinhat:
See you next week!

I woke up the other night to the sounds of my bedroom window cracking in the cold, and now there's frost building up on the inside.
But come on Lee suck it up, just because this is the first time in a few years that we've had a real winter doesn't mean you shouldn't have expected it. :gun:

Well, just for something different, it's 36 degrees (Celcius) ABOVE freezing in South Africa, and we are all sitting in airconditioned offices (if we're lucky) waiting for Polo so we can jump in the pool and roll when we're too hot!
Enjoy the cold...

How much does a one way ticket to South Africa cost?
I'm wondering if you've even felt -40c, maybe I could switch you spots for awhile? :bgrinhat:

Haha suckers. We here in Texas have finally had to pull out a wind breaker for the past week. Only in the mornings though. The afternoons are still pretty much shorts weather.
On a different note:
Do you have any idea how hard it is to buy WARM stuff in TX? I mean, I KNOW I am going to freeze my butt off next week. I KNOW know I am going to be hit with a huge culture shock again when I have to plug in our van (I thought the OB's were JOKING when they told us to do that last Feb!). And yet, eveyone is selling swim suits and sandles down here. *sigh. I think you guys could make a pretty penny by selling warm gear to us southerners when we get there. Or maybe putting stuff like sweaters and the like in for the raffle???
Just so all you southerners don't freak out.......... it's going to be pretty nice this weekend for the tournament. The highs are around 0 or - 2 C with plenty of sun.........it's like summer!!

coming from someone who is carless and has to walk everywhere I can definatly say that it's still far from being summer.

Alright, so even for the Texans, the weather was fabulous in Edmonton this past weekend. I guess Grand Prarie people are just SOL. Glad to see all of you guys in Edmonton though.
Lee, maybe it won't look as bleak out of your window in April? Let me know what it is like up there closer to your Nationals.
