Look at the which paddle do you use poll. Seems most of us use the double dutchs

I don't neccessarily think it's because DD is the best (although they are very good) - in California the main reason so many people use Double Dutch is that DD blades have recently been very easy to get ahold of. As a result DD has a near monopoly in California.
I prefer my Galasport blade, but I use my DD paddles almost all the time because I know if it breaks I can get another one fairly easily - and with anyone else it would be a hassle. Clearly DD wants to sell their paddles and the others are not bothered with our small market.
Germans tend to use Lettman more - but I can't think of anyone who uses one here and there certainly isn't anyone attempting to sell them.
The British use Mega or Dave Brown alot more than we do - aside from ordering them when I'm in the UK, I don't even know who I'd contact.
I think alot of people's choice of paddle comes down to what is available in our small sport - especially outside of Europe.
So while the poll is good, I'd pay more attention to what people are saying in the posts who have used multiple paddles and can offer direct comparisons.

I recently put together a paddle using the double dutch blades and they are very nice. The one issue that I have with the DD blades is that the kevlar tape around the blade is not very durable. I am not sure if it is because I play goal more than not, but the tape is falling apart and I have only used this paddle for about one month.
I went through one year and a half abusing my galasport paddle, and the kevlar tape is still standing strong; I have noticed, however, that the blades have tiny air bubbles in them which is really bad though. But maybe paddles were not made to last this long.
In the end, I am not a good enough player to really notice the subtle differences of these two paddles. Both are really nice.

When choosing a paddle it depends the type of position you play e.g Goalkeeper or Sprinter.

With issue of the kevlar tape; you can buy the DD blades that are slightly thicker and have no tape around them. These are what I use and there is no difference. :bfire:

We use the new DD and we also put kevlar because the edges broke if you do hard training.. :ninja:
Thanks all of you...... :bfire:
