Hi everybody!

My name is Tony Häggström, playing for STiL. I'm in the search for a canoe but don't know which one's are good.
I want foremost good manoeuvrability, secondly durability, third speed and of course low weight. I have tried a Mega Velocity (max 75 Kg), and found it very nice in terms of manoeuvrability and speed. However I've heard that it doesen't handle hits that well, so it's lifespan is short in comparison to for instans a Revenge. The price is of less importance.

I would apriceate any helpful tips to appropriate canoes for me.
Thanks in advance...

Me: 79 Kg
181 cm

I agree with your oppinion on the velocity. I paddle one, and it handles great despite the lack of thighbraces (my seat is pushed forward and raised) but ..... my seat came off after 2 month, as well as my girlfriends, and the seam is making noises from day one you paddle the boat.

If you move the seat forward in a Flight it still turns realy well, and you get the nosecontroll it lacks. It is not that fast for your weight though!!!!!!, and it is unstable if your opponent gets under you (because the edge is not rounded you can't slide off).

The Vampires don't handle well from a stationary position, but when turned with speed they turn faster than other makes. They are stronger and fast in a straight line.

I haven't paddlet that much in the revenge, and the different German boats.... Note the fighter, and the 2-3 builders who coppied the bottom? and took some volume off the topp half.

My team-mate handles the "deventer-boat" really well.... Made by Wouter.

Look at some of the threads on boats around the forum for oppinions and manufacture-info.

Cheers, Asger.
