Sorry but I take it you are supposed to do the workshop first and then the written and then the assessment????
Just wondering.

In an ideal situation for someone coming into refereeing new for the first time, the workshop (followed by practical experience and written exams and practical assessments, if up to the standard) is the most appropriate route to follow.

For all others (those who have been refereeing for some time) and who have not had the opportunity to upgrade, written examinations will take place for those who wish to take them over the Carrick weekend with practical reviews of all referees in order to maintain present grading.
Anyone who wishes to be considered for an upgrade must also take the written exam.

Please check the ICU NCPC Website for full details on the Refereeing Requirements for all Grades.
