Have y'all set a date yet for Canadian Nationals? I don't know if we can yet, but we want to try to get U21s up to Canadian Nationals.

Yes - Easter Sunday is April 11th next year - so that should probably have read :

Canadian Nationals, Edmonton : April 10/11/12

which, if correct, may cause conflicts for a few ...

Jeez, I think that you guys know more about our nationals than I do. I'll have to look that up.

Is the Cup a 2 or 3-day tourney? And is it, in fact, taking place the first weekend in February?

Thanks,

Didn't Bush already invade Canada? I thought they had a bunch of oil up there or something. :hump:

Oh - and I do have a serious question about the Cup of the North - if it is a 3 day tournament, will it be as last year where the Friday is primarily a travel day and the games scheduled for Friday are mostly between local teams or will all teams need to actually turn up for Friday?

Cheers,
John

You know more about it than we do... You should probably PM (Private Message) Roberto (Rob Kerestes) he's head guy for our national commitee.

From the Organizing Committee:

Hi All,
the dates of the Cup of the North tournament are, in fact, February 6,7, and 8th 2004. Although a schedule has not been developed, generally there are games played on Friday night (usually we generate the schedule to accomodate teams that arrive late and get games between local teams out of the way), Saturday, and Sunday (finals). Sunday night is the competition banquet and always a good time, so if you can plan to stay, it is worth it. The planning committee will release more specific entry details in the very near future for all interested, and don't forget about the ski trip to the Rocky Mountains in the week following!

Catherine O'Brien

PS. Canadian Nationals, also in Edmonton, will be held on the weekend of April 11/12 ( I'll send out details soon on this too)

The 2004 Canadian Nationals will be held the Easter Weekend. The schedule will depend on the number of teams but we currently have water time booked for April 9, 10 and 11, 2004.

As Chair of the Canadian Nationals I (Rosemarie Chinchilla) will be sending out more information in the near future. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact me at rochinch@telusplanet.net
