The new rules state that we are to signal timeout after a goal. I was blowing a single whistle, showing the goal scored hand signal. Then I blew three whistles and showed a T. I have been doing this at my local games. At our nationals, they said to only blow the whistle once, showing the hand signal for goal and then to show the hand signal for timeout.

Do the ICF refs signal a goal this way?

In most indor-club turnaments we don't use timeout after a goal, unless a team is trying to gain an advantage by delaying the game.
Personally I think the correct way to signal timeout after a goal is to
1) make sure the officialtable is aware that you play with timeout after goals before the game.
2) Blow the tripple whistle and show the sign for goal.

At major turnaments where it is clear to all that there is timeout after goals, many refs just blow the whistle once....

There is often a player who doesn't know that there is automatic timeout in the given turnament. As a service I tend to briefly show the timeoutsignal to players who are frustrated because they feel the opponents are deliberately delaying the game after they score a goal. Even if it is something they might know from the program or teamleaders meeting :-)
